This page explains how the VIGICAR Rent app handles user data for Google Play review and for our users. For quick scanning, see the Overview and Data Summary sections.

Overview

VIGICAR Rent is designed to be transparent and offline-first. The app works without user accounts and does not use ads, analytics, or trackers.

Key points: No accounts • No ads/analytics • No background network activity • Data stays on your device.
  • No account: the app does not require sign-up or login.
  • No analytics/ads: no SDKs for ads, analytics, crash reporting, or profiling.
  • Offline-first: rental details and PDF generation work without internet.
  • User-initiated actions only: phone/WhatsApp/Maps open only when you tap.

Data Collection and Use

VIGICAR Rent collects user-provided information on the device when you fill the rental details form. The app does not send this data to our servers or to third parties automatically.

Important: “On-device only” still means the app collects the data you type in. It just stays local and is not transmitted in the background.
Data the user enters Full name, phone number, pickup date & time, pickup location (text), rental duration, and selected options.
Why it is used App functionality: to generate the rental contract PDF requested by the user.
Shared with third parties No. The app does not transmit the entered data to external servers.
Sent to our servers No. We do not operate a server flow for this data.

On-Device Processing and Storage

All rental details are processed locally on your device. The generated rental contract is saved as a PDF file in your device storage.

  • Processing: on-device only.
  • Storage: the PDF is saved locally on your device.
  • Copies: we do not keep copies of your data.

If your device uses system-level backups (for example, cloud backups), the handling of locally stored files follows your device settings and backup provider.

Connectivity, Retention, and Deletion

The app works fully offline for viewing cars, entering rental details, and generating PDF documents.

Background network calls None. The app is offline by default and does not run background network requests.
User-initiated communication Phone dialer, WhatsApp, and Google Maps open only when you tap the related button.
How to delete your data You can delete the generated PDF file from your device, and/or uninstall the app. After deletion, VIGICAR Rent does not retain user data.

Third-Party Services

If you choose to open WhatsApp, your phone dialer, or Google Maps, those services are provided by third parties. Please review their privacy policies to understand how they handle your information.

  • WhatsApp: opened only on user tap.
  • Phone dialer: opened only on user tap.
  • Google Maps: opened only on user tap.

Children’s Privacy

This application is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect or process information from children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to improve clarity or comply with legal requirements. The latest version will always be available inside the app and on our official website.
